I think 30k - 40k would probably be better as smaller chapters. When I write my stories, I usually put some sort of line in between areas where there's a change in time or characters.

FINALLY, done with the teasers. This chapter was nice, except there were a few grammatical errors and tense forms gone wrong in the first few lines. Couldn't help wondering how your RP missed those while ironing out the kinks.

For suspenseful, read scarlet pimpernal. Now that is suspenseful. This is just plain procrastination on your part for lack of any good thing to write. For the last three chapters you've built on and on and on about their feelings. Yes, I get it. But get to the point already. I'm not going to be patient anymore. You've had your time.

The last two chapters seem like teaser to something big. Well, I am sure a confrontation between two lovers after six years is a big thing, but I really wish you would stop teasing me like this.
